Lauren S. Rivenbark, LCSW

Hello!

My name is Lauren and it is an honor to meet you. I am a trauma-informed therapist who has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for over 14 years. I have worked within a wide range of settings including community-based non-profit organizations and colleges/universities. I have experience in many areas including depression, anxiety, mood disorders and life transitions, with specialization and interest in trauma treatment, women’s issues, and supporting survivors of interpersonal violence.

I believe in always meeting people where they are in the therapeutic process, and I engage in conversation with an emphasis on empowering clients to honor what feels best for them in their journey. I frame therapeutic work on the foundation of person-centered and strengths-based approaches, using integrative therapeutic techniques. I am a firm believer in giving ourselves permission to be human, and I welcome this in session. I love humor, and I love for people to unapologetically be themselves. I enjoy meeting people of all ages, identities, and communities and am grateful for chances to become acquainted with others within this setting while honoring and respecting what makes you uniquely you.

If you are considering seeking support, thank you for making such an important decision for yourself – you are worthy, courageous, and deserving – you got this!
