Brittany Gordon
MSW Intern
Hi! My name is Brittany, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I am building on both my academic foundation and professional experience to deepen my skills as a therapist. My journey in the field of social work has given me the opportunity to work in diverse settings, including serving on an Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) supporting individuals with significant mental health needs, as well as working within schools to support children and their families through my internship experience.
These experiences have strengthened my commitment to meeting people where they are and providing a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. My mission as a therapist is to not only offer a listening ear but also to equip clients with positive coping skills and tools they can carry with them throughout life.
I believe that every client’s story is unique and deserving of respect, which is why I take an intersectional approach to therapy—considering each individual’s circumstances, strengths, and life goals in shaping the therapeutic process. My hope is to walk alongside clients as they build resilience, explore new perspectives, and work toward the life they envision for themselves.
