MSW, LCSWA

915 Vandora Springs Rd, Garner, NC 27529, USA

Hey there,

I'm Brittany, a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA). I aim to bring person-centered practice and care to my clients by working collaboratively and setting goals together for the desired outcome from sessions. I am willing to work with children and adults, and can work with a variety of experiences such as depression, anxiety, OCD, Religious Trauma, phobias, and more. My approach uses modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and mindfulness while creating a safe space for my clients to grow.

I graduated with my Bachelors in Social Work from NC State University in 2022, and have a Masters in Social Work from the University of Chapel Hill focusing in Direct Practice. My professional experience is spread across several different fields in the community including school social work, Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACTT), Clinical Social Work settings, and more. I was also lucky to intern here at Calm and Focused Therapy during my masters schooling and was able to learn a lot from that experience.

Outside of sessions I enjoy things like crafting, reading, anime, puzzles, and video games. Hobbies are important to destress from a difficult day and center yourself, which I try to embody regularly. I am also a Christian, and am happy to discuss with clients if they want to have that conversation, though it is not expected. I also have an amazing dog named Mabel who helps me practice my patience on a daily basis.

I am committed to continuing my education and constantly seeking to improve my practice, so that I may provide the best care possible to my clients. I look forward to working with you to achieve the goals we set together in sessions, and to help build resilience, develop life skills, and maintain a sense of stability in your mental health.
