LCMHCA

915 Vandora Springs Rd, Garner, NC 27529, USA

Hey y’all!

My name is Mariana C. Glenn-Toland and I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate providing in person and virtual services. I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from the College of Charleston and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NC State. I have experience facilitating sessions for groups, individuals, and couples. In all therapy settings, I remain passionate about addressing wellness from a holistic and clinically appropriate approach.

Many aspects of modern society encourage individuals to function on autopilot. While there is a place for routine, sometimes we miss really checking in with ourselves until something major happens. I view therapy as an opportunity to check in after these major incidents and even in between. I aim to support clients in taking a pause, furthering personal awareness, and identifying tools to reference when presented with life’s challenges. To cultivate this experience, I use a person-centered foundation which provides an avenue to tailor care to the specific concerns of each client. I also strategically integrate elements from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness based approaches, and strength-based counseling to collaborate with clients to explore what narratives influence their experiences.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking, crafting, exploring coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends.
