34 Oleander Dr #104, Clayton, NC 27527, USA

Hello, I'm Alicia!

I earned my Masters of Counseling from Wake Forest University in 2026, where I specialized in clinical mental health counseling and completed my supervised internship and practicum training at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. At Baptist, I provided counseling services to a diverse population, including those with depression and anxiety, trauma- and stressor-related concerns, and addiction. My primary focus is on adults and late adolescents.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and existential-humanistic and person-centered perspectives. Within that foundation, I draw on structured, skills-based interventions tailored to each client’s goals and presenting concerns. I also make adequate time and space to help clients explore and better understand themselves and their presenting concerns.

My areas of clinical competence include the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma processing, addictions counseling, and building distress tolerance and emotional regulation skills. I am trained in cognitive restructuring and acceptance-based approaches, and also integrate aspects of motivational interviewing and DBT into my practice.
