Georgia McKay

MSW Intern

Hi! My name is Georgia McKay, and I’m glad you’re here.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, after completing my Bachelor of Social Work at North Carolina State University. My educational journey, combined with hands-on experience, has shaped my commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces where clients can show up as their most authentic selves.

I strive to build a therapeutic environment that feels warm and welcoming, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the individual. I believe that healing begins when clients feel both accepted and empowered to share their experiences, and my goal is to walk alongside each person as they navigate their journey toward balance and well-being.

My professional experiences include supporting adolescent women in a residential treatment home and working with children and families in the Wake County Public School system. These opportunities deepened my passion for supporting individuals across different stages of life and informed my understanding of the challenges that can arise in both family and community contexts.

I have a special interest in working with anxiety, body image concerns, family dynamics, trauma recovery, spirituality, and social anxiety. I am especially drawn to helping individuals rediscover their strengths, build resilience, and nurture self-compassion as they work toward personal growth and healing.

Whether you're seeking empowerment, navigating your identity, breaking patterns that no longer serve you, healing from trauma, or reconnecting to your true self—you're welcome here.
