Morgan Woods
CMHC Intern
Hello, I’m Morgan, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from North Carolina State University in 2023 and am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University.
Over the past three years, I have worked in the Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) field as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), supporting children and adolescents ranging from 3 to 18 years old. Through this experience, I have assisted clients with emotional regulation, social skills, relationship building, daily living skills, and behavioral support. I also have experience working with children diagnosed with ADHD and autism.
My professional background has strengthened my passion for helping children, adolescents, and teenagers in the counseling setting. I strive to create a supportive and welcoming environment where clients feel empowered, heard, and valued. I believe in tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs while fostering meaningful and lasting change within individuals and the broader community.
In my counseling approach, I utilize modalities such as person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques to support clients in reaching their goals and building resilience.
